What is the pros and cons of the bugatti veyron?

Pros: It's a 16 cylinder 4 wheel drive vehicle that will turn heads; it's one of the most exclusive cars in the world. You would be the envy of every person who watches Top Gear on BBC :) (and turn heads everywhere) 

Cons: It's extremely expensive, (if you have to ask you can't afford it) and consumes fuel almost on a gallons per mile thirstiness. All the other cons associated with owning one of the most expensive production cars in the world; maintenance, insurance, and worrying about getting a scratch on your beloved machine!

What country is bugatti from?

Tough question - the founder of Bugatti is Italian, yet he founded it in France. But now its owned by a German Company (Volkswagen). But if I were to say one answer, its probably France as that is where it was founded.

8. McLaren F1 $970,000. In 1994, the McLaren F1 was the fastest and most expensive car. Even though it was built more than 15 years ago, it still has an unbelievable top speed of 240 mph (386 km/h) and reaching 60 mph in 3.2 seconds. Even today, the McLaren F1 is still top on the list and outperforms other supercars.

Mercedes-Benz GL-Class Facelift Preview

Mercedes-Benz will launch the new 2013 GL-Class in India on May 16. The new model with updated styling made its global debut last year at the 2012 New York Auto Show in April and will now finally be offered in India.
The GL-Class is built exclusively at the Merc’s Alabama facility in US, along with its younger sibling, the M-Class. Both the SUVs look very similar now that even the GL gets LED daytime running lights. The new 2013 GL-Class will be powered by a 3.0-litre diesel engine developing healthy 255bhp and 632Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with seven-speed automatic gearbox. There is a possibility that the German carmaker will ditch the petrol variants due to lack of demand.
Mercedes Benz GL-Class
The new version GL will be brought to India as a CBU initially, but the company will commence CKD operations by the end of this year. Mercedes is expected to import 90 units of the GL that might have AMG body kit.
The GL-Class competes with the Audi Q7 in the Indian market and will have a starting price of Rs 75 lakh. Tennis star Boris Becker will be in India to launch the new SUV and Merc is hosting a Facebook contest with opportunity to meet Boris or attend his tennis clinic in Bangalore, as grand prize.

Official: Ford EcoSport bookings to begin in June

Ford has announced via the EcoSport Facebook page that official bookings for the highly anticipated compact crossover will begin in June. This also means that the vehicle will most probably be launched by mid-June and deliveries starting in July. We have already driven compact SUV and pretty much know the variants, engine line up as well as all the features and are now just waiting for the price announcement.
It is also known that dealers had been taking unofficial bookings by charging between Rs 25, 000 to Rs 50, 000 since the end of last year but had eventually stopped due to excess demand and lack of clarity from the American automaker. Ford will export the EcoSport to over 32 countries from its Chennai facility and the latest destination that we have discovered is Australia. It will get exactly the same vehicle that will sold in India but with a few more features and will only be offered with two petrol engines.
It is expected that Ford will price the EcoSport in the range of Rs six lakh to Rs 12.5 lakh. The American automaker has already confirmed that it will use the export revenue as leverage to price vehicle competitively. There are even reports suggesting that the EcoSport will begin at Rs 5.96 lakh (ex-showroom) which is premium hatchback territory!

2014 BMW M5 facelift leaked

BMW has made subtle changes to the current generation M5 that is on sale since 2011. The first images of the cosmetic upgrade have surfaced on the internet courtesy BMW – the car maker accidentally uploaded on the configurator ahead of the schedule. 
The changes to the exteriors of the M5 include subtle changes to headlights and redesigned grille with larger vertical stats – similar to the one seen on the M6. The updates to the interior are also derived from the M6. The steering is sleeker and it gets touch sensitive iDrive controller. 
The facelifted version will be powered by the same 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 developing 560PS, but there is a possibility that BMW may offer 575PS competition package as an option. The German car maker is expected to launch the car in Europe later this year. And we can expect the new model to reach Indian shores soon after as it comes to India as a CBU on order.

BMW X6 Review

The BMW X6 is a hybrid version of an SUV and elegance. A car with a personality, that would light up your garage for sure. The BMW X6 comes with 3 variants one the X drive 35D (diesel), X drive 50I (petrol) and X6 M with a petrol engine. The X6 can be booked in India at any BMW authorised dealer. The X6 was earlier promoted in the Auto Expo held in New Delhi.

Design

The X6 boasts of a  sporty look. The exterior of the car is similar to the X5. The grille and the body coloured bumpers have fog lamps integrated into them. The door handles and rear view mirrors are mono chromatic. A set of 19” alloy wheels gives the X6 its sporty and muscular look. The internal features of this sports utility vehicle are what could be described as peppy and simply awesome. The BMW X6 comes with dashing graphic, wooden trim. The dashboard and steering are top-notch and nowhere does one see a compromise when it comes to features or comfort in the car. The car is built so, that it does not stress out the driver if on long journeys. The comfort level of the driver and the occupants has been taken care of to the maximum. Tri strut steering wheel is finely finished and offered with a leather coating, seats can be electronically adjusted.

  • Son look : inspiré d'un break américain des années 40, ce modèle offre une silhouette caractérisée, avec ses ailes enflées et ses contours rondouillards. De plus, toute une panoplie d'accessoire permet de personnalise et d'accentuer le style tranché de ce modèle exotique. La version cabriolet atteint des sommets en matière de look ravageur.

Ce qui peut vous faire hésiter
  • L'insonorisation : curieusement, c'est sur les versions essence qu'elle déçoit le plus. Le bruit mécanique des 4 cylindres est ingrat.
  • L'éclairage de nuit : relative faiblesse des codes.
  • La finition à bord : les plastiques bien veinés en surface restent cependant rigides et ne dégagent pas une grande impression de classe.
  • La sellerie : pas spécialement confortable. Les dossiers avant un peu plats, maintiennent mal le corps en virage ; la banquette n'offre qu'un dessin sommaire.
  • La sellerie en cuir (option) : décevante. Peu de surface des sièges reçoivent de vraies peaux. Et elles sont de qualité très médiocre (trop brillantes d'aspect, aussi). Pour le reste, c'est du pur… skaï.
  • La position au volant : pas idéalement pensée. L'assise est haute, ce qui oblige à maintenir le dos droit. Pas forcément apprécié.
  • Le rayon de braquage : excessif, il rend les manœuvres serrées laborieuses. C'est pénalisant en ville ou pour manœuvrer.
  • Le levier de vitesses : jolie boule en plastique gris clair au sommet de la longue tige, qui fait rétro. Mais le guidage demeure imprécis.
  • L'antenne radio : elle se déploie manuellement. Vraiment peu moderne. A force, risque d’endommagement.
  • La commande des warnings : le bouton se situe derrière le volant, ; il est difficile d’accès, surtout en cas d'urgence.
  • Les alertes sonores : il y en a toute une panoplie, y compris une "à rallonge" pour l'enclenchement de la marche arrière. Agaçant.
  • Les vitres arrière : descente seulement partielle (aux 2/3).
  • Les lève vitres : commande à impulsion seulement pour les vitres avant, et uniquement à la descente.
  • Le bouton d'essuie-glace arrière : il se situe en bas de console centrale, et est de plus mal repéré.
  • La boîte à gants : verticale, étroite et profonde, elle offre un volume peu pratique.
  • La radio : son mode de mémorisation de station est d'une complexité agaçante. Elle s'opère par des touches peu pratiques. Par appui simple ou double sur les touches numérotées, on obtient des emplacements de mémorisation différent. Ce qui oblige à un petit calcul mental qui n'est pas des plus naturel et accapare trop d'attention.
  • Le feu de recul : un seul, incrusté dans le bouclier, en bas à droite. Il ne sert quasiment à rien pour aider au recul contre un mur : pas de reflet assez net sur le mur.
3. Budget
Achat / Cote
La frénésie autour de ce modèle durant ses deux premières années de carrière s'est bel et bien achevée. Les versions essence du début (les seules disponibles) décote d'avantage depuis que le diesel est arrivé. Attention aux offres surestimées, que des vendeurs justifient par les chromes additionnels ou autres éléments d'embellissement apportés à la voiture. Ces accessoires sont pour beaucoup proposés dans le réseau de la marque et ne sont pas forcément d'une valeur exorbitante.
Consommation
Elevée sur les versions essence. Au contraire, la sobriété des diesels est à saluer.
Assurance
Assez onéreuse pour un modèle de cette taille.
Prix des pièces
Les pièces d'usure ne sont pas spécialement onéreuses. Au contraire, les organes mécaniques importants, de même que certains éléments de carrosserie, atteignent des sommets.
Entretien
Visites d'entretien tous les 12 000 à 20 000 km (et tous les ans au maximum si le kilométrage limite n'a pas été atteint). Courroie de distribution sur les moteurs 2.0 et 2.4 essence à remplacer tous les 168 000 à 192 000 km, dans la limite de 7 ou 8 ans maximum. Pas de courroie de distribution sur les diesels, mais une chaîne : donc pas de remplacement périodique.
4. Fiabilité
Description
Modèle plutôt bien né, et dont la carrière n'a été que peu perturbé par des problèmes sérieux. Les incidents les plus caractérisés ont donné lieu sans trop de retard à des rappels. Pour un modèle américain, la tranquillité d'utilisation est bonne et l'endurance des pièces d'usure est plutôt satisfaisante. En fait, ce modèle très exotique d'aspect est, du point de vue de sa qualité, calé sur des standards réellement européens.
Pannes lourdes ou immobilisantes
  • Moteur 2.2 CRD 121 ch. Allumage du témoin d’anomalie moteur, risque de calage et d’impossibilité à redémarrer. Causés par une défaillance du faisceau moteur.
  • Moteur 2.2 CRD 121 ch. Sur les modèles fabriqués entre janvier et juillet 2003, défaillance possible et fréquente du turbo, parfois à des kilométrages très bas. Turbo à remplacer (souvent déjà fait par le précédent propriétaire, pris en charge par Mercedes).
  • Direction. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en septembre 2001, apparition d'un bruit métallique en provenance de la direction lors des braquages. Causé par un mauvais serrage de la colonne de direction. Remède : pose d'éléments de serrage additionnels sur l’arbre de direction.
  • Boîte automatique (option). Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en janvier 2001, sérieux problème de gestion électronique de boîte pour le passage des rapports. Remède : reprogrammation électronique, voire, éventuellement, remplacement de boîte.
  • Embrayage. Sur les diesels fabriqués jusqu’en septembre 2003, fuite assez fréquente sur la commande hydraulique d’embrayage. Causée par un défaut sur le récepteur d’embrayage. Peut empêcher le débrayage. Remède : remplacement du récepteur. Pas de prise en charge par la marque.
Autres pannes ou faiblesses
  • Moteur 2.0 essence. Irrégularités de fonctionnement à partir de 70 000 km. Causées soit par un défaut de bobine d’allumage, soit par la dégradation du circuit haute tension (fils de bougie) ; coût : de l'ordre de 140 € pour la bobine, de 70 € pour les fils de bougie. Mais opération prise en charge si la voiture a moins de 5 ans et moins de 80 000 km.
  • Moteur 2.4 essence. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu'en 2005, à-coup moteur marqué entre 1 500 et 2 000 tr/mn lors d’une forte accélération. Nécessite la reprogrammation du boîtier de gestion moteur et, souvent, le remplacement des bougies.
  • Moteur 2.4 essence. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu'en 2005, allumage inopiné du témoin d’anomalie moteur. Causé par un défaut de programmation.
  • Moteur 2.4 essence turbo. Sur les 2.4 GT, irrégularités du ralenti, pouvant aller jusqu’au calage. Causé par un défaut du calculateur moteur. Remède : reprogrammation électronique, mais le problème peut réapparaître quelques milliers de kilomètres plus loin.
  • Train avant. Sur quelques voitures, usure asymétrique des pneus avant. Causée par un défaut de réglage du train avant en usine.
  • Pneus avant. Durée de vie limitée des pneus avant : environ 20 000 à 25 000 km.
  • Freins avant. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en janvier 2001, risque de voilage des disques à partir de 25 000 km. Ce qui vibrations dans le volant et la colonne de direction lors des freinages.
  • Freins arrière. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en janvier 2001, usure prématurée des plaquettes de freins AR (sous-dimensionnées)
Aspect extérieur
  • Peinture. Sur les modèles rouge ou noir, la laque se montre sensible aux micro-rayures laissées par les brosses de lavage. Et le vieillissement n’est pas excellent, surtout jusqu’aux modèles fabriqués en septembre 2004.
  • Rétroviseurs extérieurs. Légères vibrations des miroirs. Légère amélioration à partir de novembre 2005.
  • Serrures. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en septembre 2004, quelques soucis apparaissent avec l’âge, sur les portes avant comme sur le hayon.
Finition intérieure
  • Bruits parasites. Sur le cabriolet : bruits sur le pourtour de la capote. Causé par le frottement des vitres latérales contre leurs joints.
  • Vitres latérales. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en juin 2001, vibrations des vitres avant lorsqu’elles sont partiellement descendues.
Dysfonctionnement électroniques / fonctions à bord
  • Commande des clignotants. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en décembre 2000, allumage des antibrouillards à la place des clignotants. Causé par des interférences électroniques.
  • Codes. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en juin 2002, défaut d’allumage des codes.
  • Antibrouillards avant. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en septembre 2001, risque de non allumage, et possible dysfonctionnement du témoin d’allumage au tableau de bord. Causé le plus souvent par un dysfonctionnement du commodo. Remède : remplacement du commodo.
  • Radio. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en avril 2002, réception moyenne.
  • Tableau de bord. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en septembre 2004, quelques aléas d’allumage des voyants, par exemple le témoin de pleins phares. Peut nécessiter le remplacement complet du combiné d’instruments.
  • Jauge à carburant. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en avril 2001, indication inexacte de la jauge à carburant.
  • Témoins d'airbag et d'ABS. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en janvier 2001, allumage inopiné de ces témoins (mais pas d'altération des fonctions correspondantes). Causé par un défaut sur le boîtier de gestion électronique.
Rappel et rectification en concession
  • Vitre fixe de custode arrière. Sur des modèles fabriqués entre le 17 Mai et le 1er Septembre 2005, en raison d'un défaut de collage, la vitre fixe de la custode arrière pourrait se détacher. Remplacement de ladite vitre. 274 véhicules concernés en France.
  • Moteur 2.2 CRD 121 ch. Sur les diesels fabriqués jusqu’en novembre 2005, risque de perte de puissance soudaine à partir de 80 000 km. Causée par le percement de la duritt d’alimentation du turbo. A remplacer.
  • Moteur 2.2 CRD 121 ch. Sur les diesels fabriqués en décembre 2004 et janvier 2005, une mauvaise série de pompes d'injection fournie par l'équipementier. Rappel en février 2005 : remplacement systématique de la pompe.
  • Pompe à carburant. Sur les modèles fabriqués jusqu’en juillet 2002, défaut d’étanchéité d'un joint interne à la pompe à carburant. D'où un risque de fuite d’essence. Rappel à partir d'octobre 2002 : remplacement de la pompe. 6 517 voitures en France, 464 315 au total.
  • Risque d'incendie. Sur les cabriolets 2.4 (sans turbo), risque d’incendie. Causé par la rupture d’une durit de direction assistée. Ce qui peut provoquer une fuite de liquide sur le moteur. Rappel à l’été 2004 : durit systématiquement remplacée. 11 voitures en France, 487 000 au total.
  • Voyants d'alerte. Sur les modèles fabriqués entre janvier et la mi-juillet 2001, désordre dans l’allumage des témoins d’alerte au tableau de bord. Causé par un aléa électronique Rappel mi-2003 : reprogrammation. 191 voitures en France, 40 800 au total.
  • Voyants d’éclairage. Sur les modèles fabriqués en juillet et août 2001, dysfonctionnement de ces voyants d’éclairage ; rappel fin 2001 : voitures rectifiées.
